It's time to clear some room for the "ridiculously good imports" section in your music library. Afterall, its too easy to fall into all that has been recycled over and over again in the U.S., so let's try something new this time around, shall we?
Windermere falls into the little known shoegaze rock genre, which is passed over so quickly these days. But an added bonus to the beautiful soundscapes these Copenhagen, Denmark natives offer is aided by their lyrics, which translate quite well since they primarily speak German. As far as many shoegaze groups go, not many have a lead vocalist who fits in so perfectly to fill that missing void. You may know what I'm talking about if you've ever listened to Explosions in the Sky, Hammock, God Is An Astronaut, Jakob, This Will Destroy You, Saxon Shore and the list goes on and on.

Here Windermere successfully creates a full album, good enough to listen through the whole way. Although you need to find that right moment to slow things down and relax, Windermere perfectly fits that suit. Find out more about Windermere by visiting their MySpace Page. Their 2006 release No One Wins is available for download on iTunes or you can buy through their site using Paypal.
