I've been listening to Say Hi a bit more than I originally intended lately. The only reason really was their gateway song, "Let's Talk About Spaceships", which I picked up back in 2006. I found this quite amusing, even more so since the groups name was Say Hi To Your Mom (imply what you must).

Lately for me, the song that's been consistently replaying is "Northwestern Girls", for no apparent reason really, other than the fact that its been their most popular song as of recent and Say Hi has been making more and more news (good job guys!). My first thought when listening to this was it sounded a lot like something I've heard before; then it occured to me - it was exactly like something I've heard before.

Bear with me here, but the opening for this song opens the same way as Angels & Airwaves "Sirens". Obviously, neither one of there songs don't come close each other, but if you listen to these two for the opening 10 seconds, you'll get the idea. The second part that really hit me were the vocals, which sounded eerily close to Jon Foreman (Switchfoot) as he sung "On Fire" from their The Beautiful Letdown album. Mix these two, with good ol' Say Hi and this riddle is solved.
