I occasionally rotate the German indie rock group, The Notwist into my listening, although their time on my iPod has dried out since they haven't released anything since Neon Golden in 2002. They sucked me in with their experimental approach to rock, particularly with my favorite of theirs, "One With The Freaks", and actually included a handful of remixes on their last album on a bonus disc. It was an excellent opportunity for me to jump on something new, especially since they're so different and oddly enjoyable, which is the greatest part about music - the ingenuity of every artist's approach to that which they create.
MP3: The Notwist - Good Lies
As it goes, The Notwist are again on the radar, this time more exciting than ever since leaving their fans on a 6 year hiatus between albums. The Devil, You + Me, The Notwist's latest work has been in the works for the last two years. It will be released over in Europe some time in May through City Slang, then will hit the US market in early June through Domino. I really enjoyed this track and I hope you do too!
