A few weeks after we were able to see them live, Kansas City's The Republic Tigers just released their debut album, Keep Color. With the experimental folk of Tim Fite, listeners should find comfort with Fair Ain't Far. The Last Shadow Puppets' managed to sound like an instant classic with The Age Of The Understatement.

While on the road for the Honda Civic Tour, Motion City Soundtrack have announced that they will be releasing their first-ever acoustic EP on May 6, which will feature five songs from their Even If It Kills Me album (9/07).
MSC, which is known best for their live shows with rollercoaster synth sounds and memorable lyrics, previously released Commit This To Memory (2005) and I Am The Movie (2003). They are currently touring with Panic! At the Disco, The Hush Sound and Phantom Planet, all of whom have released albums within the past month and a half. The tour ends June 14. Our favorite pop-punk band is at it again. I don't think there's a video I don't like by these guys. Their newest one, "It Had To Be You" features the band bamboozling tv watchers, who are lonely puppets of sorts, watching Motion City Ssoundtrack on late night TV advertisements. This is appealing in so many ways. First, who can't help but watch those infectious infomercials about the 'greatest blender yet', but second and more importantly, this video shows the puppets going through a puppet world version of one of the most famous amusement park rides of all time - 'It's A Small World' ride in Disneyland. Clever fellas, I'll tell ya...
The credit can't fully go to MCS for the video idea, however. "It Had To Be You" was directed by MTVU's winner of the BFOC (best film on campus) Breaking The Video contest winner Lauren Simpson.
