Nothing about Paper Route's music is a turnoff. For the group from Nashville, a tour schedule becomes a canvas to draw more fans in and their consistency in releasing new albums becomes a reason to keep those fan checking back.
After much touring and eventual fine-tuning in the recording studio, the foursome has finally announced their newest work, Absence, which is set to release on April 28th. From hearing their new song "Carousel" from their MySpace page, the groups appears to be following the ambient synth-rock theme that Are We All Forgotten started. This style emits an expansive melody while subtly putting lyrics on the back burner, which has helped the band remain creative from EP to EP.
Previously, we became hooked to their Are We All Forgotten EP which released last summer. The five tracks threw Paper Route right on the map and on tour next month with Copeland, This Providence and Brooke Waggoner. Copeland just released their Grey Man EP last month and will be featured on all of the tour dates except April 17. Tickets for the tour go on sale on March 14, here.

This week we're more at a loss than anything because the amount of unknowns seems to heavily outweight the knowns. But alas, there is nothing like a fresh album that must be checked out. On the forefront of our album mentions is Gentleman Reg, a soft-natured singer inspired by Sufjan Stevens and The Smiths, who has several great songs such as "Coastline". We recommend picking up his fifth studio album, Jet Black.
If you're looking for an indie rock group with some raw kick to their sound, then Black Lips are your band. Their fifth album 200 Million Thousand may be their best yet. Green River Ordinance marks one of the stand out pop-rock bands this week with their album Out Of My Hands.
Also, not to be missed is The Alternate Routes, the Bridgeport Connecticut band under Vangard Records. If you're into lyrically pensive songwriting and melodically constructive rock, these guys have it with their latest, A Sucker's Dream. School of Seven Bells' highly acclaimed album Aplinisms is out on vinyl as well! Lastly, if you're looking for some pop-punk, Marianas Trench has it with their album Masterpiece Theatre. If you're looking for some mellow rock, then Copeland has it with The Grey Man.

Most likely to reach the masses but least likely to be found in a mainstream commercials are the men of Copeland (above). Their earnest composition lacks nothing yet beckons to be played multiple times. You Are My Sunshine should continue the group's luring of fans to their instantly groovy tunes.
It would be a sin to speak of anything funky this week and not mention I'm From Barcelona's Who Killed Harry Houdini? The masses of this group sing with a real cajoling manner that can't help but earn a chuckle and the eventual addition to your musical library.
In the indie pop front, Houston Calls are back for the first time since their A Collection of Short Stories from 2005 while Hearts of Palm UK will be dishing out their first taste of their girly grit pop.
