Well my wish has come true that The Answering Machine will now be working on an album to come out this summer! If you read my post not only a week ago, you can see what the band has been up to. Just to add to the likeability of these guys, they have a video (below) to the tune of Explosions In The Sky's "Look Into The Air", which just so happens to be in my top ten songs by them. While we're at it, lets look at my 'Best of Explosions In The Sky' list:

Top 10 Explosions In The Sky Songs:
2) Remember Me As A Time Of Day (buy)
3) The Moon Is Down (buy)
4) First Breath After A Coma (buy)
6) Time Stops (buy)
7) Our Last Days As Children (buy)
8) Day Eight (buy)
10) Six Days At The Bottom Of The Ocean (buy)

You can still download The Rescue from Explosions In The Sky's official website here. The Rescue was released in 2005.

The Answering Machine's Latest:

So......it's been 2 and a half years in the making, but we've finally started
demoing all our songs and we are looking to get an album out by summer.

We're spending the next few weeks huddled up in our (freezing cold) rehearsal room in Salford with an 8-track and a thousand ideas. We've already uploaded the demo for Romantic and Square, and over the next couple of months we'll sneak some more home recordings onto the site for you to listen to. Please give us feedback on what you think of the songs.

We hope to start production in April/May, so if things get a little quiet our end then don't be alarmed. An album is coming.....

In other news, we're taking a week out in March to go over to SXSW in Austin. The lovely guys at WOXY Radio have helped make this happen, so a million 'thank you's' to them! We'll be doing a session for the station while we're out there, and also cram in a load of shows.

See you soon,

TAM x
