We're excited. M83 made it back with their fifth full album, Saturdays = Youth, which is available as of today (April 14th). M83's electronica manipulation is nothing like the music biz has ever experienced.
Now dwindled down to Anthony Gonzalez himself, M83's silent popularity slowly spread after their witty release Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts landed them on the map back in 2004. Since then M83 has continued to thrill their dedicated fans with their most popular song, "Don't Save Us From The Flames" and "Moonchild" from Before The Dawn Heals Us (2005).
M83 has already announced two of their singles from this album, one which had been briefly available on their MySpace page for their loyal blog subscribers, but has already been taken down. If you haven't heard them yet, I recommend listening to their two latest singles - "Graveyard Girl" (video below) and "Couleurs". Their sound is definately evolving as their rhythms have settled into more orthodox patterns. But don't fret, the sizzling synths and pulsating glibs of that M83 flavor we all know and love are still there. Are you excited yet? I hope so...
