Music Under Fire

There's been a buzz since Coldplay released Viva La Vida and the world has truly taken to their new sound. To our good fortune, we won't have to wait another year or two for more of their music, in fact, much of what had been cut out back in May of this year from what has been called 'the Brian Eno Sessions', was still lingering. With the band feeling as on top of their music as they ever had before, they are clearly excited to continue their VLV saga by releasing their eight song EP Prospekts March. Since we feel VLV is Coldplay's second best album next to Parachutes, we could not be more elated.

The album art above features yet another painting (looks familiar doesn't it) by Eugene Dela Croix which was painted to represent the French Revolution. And just another tidbit of information; You may recall reading each of Coldplay's exerpts leading up to their album name actually being dropped, however, many onlookers were anticipating this album to be named Prospekt, when in fact, it turns out this song will be the meat and potatoes of this follow-up EP. Keep in mind, the band went through a tough time trying to pick out which songs they wanted on their full length, so these are no lesser than was was on their album, rather songs that didn't fit into the album flow they wanted.

We are very proud of these and excited to release them. They have each been the subject of many discussions and arguments. Some might be considered too catchy or too heavy for Coldplay songs but in our minds they complete the Viva La Vida picture.
